About
I attended the University of Tennessee (Go Vols!) for undergrad where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. I then went on to attend law school at North Carolina Central University School of Law. During my time in law school, I participated in the Family Law Clinic which allowed me to represent clients with their family law matters. I also participated in the Alternative Dispute Resolution Clinic where I was able to assist clients who sought to use mediation or arbitration to resolve their civil matters.
After graduating from law school, I began my legal career in Asheville, North Carolina where I focused on family law and dependency cases. I later moved to Pennsylvania and continued to practice family law. Upon my return to North Carolina, I joined the team at Rech Law.
My passion for family law stems from my personal experience of watching my parents go through a contentious custody and divorce matter. I saw how difficult it was and realized the importance of having good legal counsel during such a challenging time. I am honored to have the opportunity to do what I love and help clients through such a trying time in their lives.
In my spare time I can be found spending time with my husband and family, traveling, or baking sweet treats. I also love to explore new places in the area and try new foods and activities.
Practice Philosophy
Knowledge is power, especially when it comes to such an important matter as one’s family. Most people don’t start a family imagining that it will end in dissolution. It is important to know how to navigate the new chapter in life that one is faced with during such a difficult time. By listening to my client’s goals and helping them understand what options may be available to them under the law, it allows me to provide my clients with the information that they need so that they can feel empowered to make an informed decision about what is best for them and their family as they navigate this new chapter in their life. My goal is to help clients see that although things may be difficult in the moment, there is a light at the end of the tunnel and there is a path to a better tomorrow.
